Polishing / Buffing with robots

Complex workpieces are polished / buffed at CIMOTEC with workpiece- or tool-guiding systems. The mostly fully enclosed systems of the ROBOCELL 200/300, 400 and 500 series are equipped with industrial robots from the brands KUKA, FANUC, ABB and Yaskawa and allow the fully automatic processing of workpieces with a wide variety of polishing tools. Polishing / Buffing in single or multi-stage processes is just as possible as subsequent polishing. Whether the robot guides the tool or the workpiece is usually decided on the basis of the task or the size of the component. With a standardized range of different grinding, polishing and brushing units, component feeds and removals, turntables, component grippers, etc., a highly productive robot cell can be created in a short time, which guarantees the processing of a wide variety of components for many years. Of course, all CIMOTEC systems meet the highest safety standards and are CE, UL or CCC certified.

CIMOTEC ROBOCELL 500

Fully automatic grinding and/or polishing cell with 1, 2 or 4 processing units. These units can be equipped with a wide variety of tools to ensure combined processes such as grinding and subsequent polishing in one operation. The systems are based on the durable ROBOCELL housing with noise and dust protection as well as a wide variety of feed and discharge options for workpieces that are tailored to customer requirements.

ROBOCELL 400:

Tool-guiding robot system with a polishing unit permanently mounted on the robot. The workpiece is clamped on a turntable by the operator and then polished in a single step by the robot while it is lying flat.
ROBOCELL 500:

workpiece-carrying robot system with fixed polishing units. The workpiece is picked up by the robot from a pallet, fed to processing and set down again.
