CIMOTEC Automation GmbH was founded in 1992 by Heinz-Peter Laub in Schalkenmehren near Daun in the Eifel and since then has been involved in the sale, development and manufacture of fully automated systems for surface treatment, grinding, polishing and deburring. In 1997, the company moved to a new company-owned building at the airfield in Bitburg. Due to the strong growth in recent years, the premises were expanded in 2015 with the construction of a new 1500 square meter assembly hall.

CIMOTEC currently produces on a production area of approx. 5500 square meters with a vertical integration of approx. 98% and is therefore able to react quickly to customer requests and to constantly improve the quality of the systems.
